Information for Tenants

Application Process

We have provided some useful information to prepare you for what will be required once you have found a property you are keen to secure. If you have any questions that are not answered below, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Step 1: Application:

Complete and sign this Application Form. Each prospective tenant over the age of 18 must complete a separate Application Form.
Provide H&G with your identification (passport, driving license, plus a utility bill for your current address)
If you are a non EU citizen, we will need to see your Right to Remain, Residence Card or Visa.

Step 2: Holding Fee:

Transfer your Holding Fee to reserve the property.
The Holding Fee is the equivalent of one weeks rent.

Step 3: Referencing:
Once the Holding Fee has been received, you will receive a Reference Form from Reference My Tenant to complete. This will include a credit check, landlord reference, proof of home ownership (if applicable), employment references. Once referencing is complete, your report will be sent to the landlord for approval.  The tenancy cannot start until we have received full and satisfactory references and they have been approved by the Landlord.

Step 4: Preparation of the Tenancy Agreement.
Draft Tenancy Agreement is prepared and sent to the landlord and tenant for approval.

Step 5: Signing of the Tenancy Agreement, then payment of the First Month’s Rent and Security Deposit.

Step 6: Move-in arrangements.

Step 7: Check In Appointment & Move in.
